How a tree assembles is a practical selling point, not a detail. Hinged trees have branches that fold out from the trunk and drop into position, which makes them faster to set up. Automatic trees go further, with branches that open as the sections are joined. For commercial buyers, assembly time is a customer-service issue — a tree that takes an hour to shape generates returns and complaints — so it is worth specifying and testing.

Carton Volume and Container Planning

Trees are light for their size, which means a container fills by volume long before it reaches its weight limit. The figures that matter are the master carton dimensions and the number of cartons per container, and they determine your landed cost per unit more than the FOB price does. Ask the supplier for a loading plan at the quotation stage, and check how cartons nest — a small reduction in packed volume across a full container is worth more than a small discount on the unit price.

Order Timing and Season Planning

Christmas production competes with every other category from late summer, and shipping adds weeks on top.
